The Purple Party is starts this Friday, but before that, we thought we’d look back at a previous Purple Party event. For those not in the know, Purple Party Weekend, is a weekend full of dance events performances and music by popular DJs from around the world. It’s is the largest nonprofit, all-volunteer charity dance weekend in the United States. The money is raised to improve the lives of people in the Dallas area who are living with or are affected by HIV/AIDS.

Back in 2012, RuPaul’s Drag Race alums and real life couple, Manila Luzon (season 3) and Sahara Davenport (season 2), performed at the opening night of the Purple Party. Manila Luzon and Sahara Davenport, who is not only from Dallas, but started out at S4 when it was Village Station, joined the girls from the Rose Room. Manila Luzon and Sahara Davenport performed solo numbers and then duets. Their final duet was a parody cover of RuPaul’s Super Model (of the World) with references to RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants.
